Pressent in current

The young generations are spending their time on the education for making the knowledge to develop their communities while the old men are staying homes, they look after their grand children and selling their goods to the tourists for making money. It is one of them ways to support their lives. The old man in the village said she has to look after her niece everyday. Her niece is on her curious age; therefore, she has to run after her and takes care of her niece. She is so tired with her duty. However, he has a break when her niece has the day sleeping and he can invent the goods for selling the tourists. “I don't get much money” he said, but it is enough for his niece to buy some snacks and he does not have to ask for a small money at all.
The development of the various aspects effect the way of life in the present. They influence people who live in the high area such as the problem which is clearly seen is the lands own ship, they do not have right to own their land following by the Akha's law. It affects many Akha villages to be moved and find the new place for settling down. Moreover, it influences on the land for earning their lives. Many population do not have land for making their lives which causes many tons of problems afterward. They are cheated on money, they are having debt and the sickness problem. The young people have to leave their villages for more job opportunities whether become waiters, waitresses, baby sisters, sellers, workers in the factories. It shows the quality of people that they do not have the well education. These young men do not have their minds on the education, they think that they can not earn money if they are studying, thus, they leave school for working. This is the thought which is involved with the changing of the society. Many children are orphant, so, they have to earn by themselves or their parents do not have enough money to support them for the education. The kids are sent to work in the town and they are on the disadvantages because most Akha do not have the right like other Thai. According to their nature, they are happy with the small things and they just want to make a living. Thus, there is another name for them “The poorest people of the races”.
The enlargement of the electricity service to the small village. This point is not really involved but if we clearly consider about it. It is one of the important things that make the cultural field become invisible to the new generations because they spend their time infront of T.V. and enjoy the shows. It sounds better than standing in the circle and sing the songs which are involved with the traditions.
The cultural field (Dare Khong) today is quiet and it is forgotten from the memory of the young men but the place is full of the modern music and is it what we chose to be?
How is nice between of the old and the new?
The Journey
•  They travel everywhere by foot. I always heard the old men said that it is not necessary to get to the places by the vehicles. It is fine by walking, we will not be tired if we keep walking and we also get g ood health because we sweat while we are walking. It is the transportation of the hilltribe races.
•  Traveling by horses, Akha believe that the horses are strong and easy to look after, therefore, they are used for carrying stuff. They are suitable for the mountain life.
•  Traveling by cars or the vehicles which are invented by human, at present, people go to the near places by motorbikes or cars. The period of time that people respect money as Gods, people who live both in the town and in the rural area try to afford themselves the modern vehicles for the convenient life. They pay by installments, thus, they cause the debt to themselves. However, it is fine for people who have money power who can afford the convenience.
It is hard to find the Akha traditional way of life. Many villagers are influenced by the changing world. Anyway, the instinct which is taught by the ancestors is the things that they finally can't run away.
